Best Selling Book Right Now - You're Going To Be Surprised

When you think of the current best selling book lists, it's hard to think of any other novel being the top of the pile besides Becoming by Michelle Obama. It has hogged the number one sales spot across all the main retailers for the last few weeks. This powerful memoir by the former FLOTUS definitely deserves this coveted status. Today it's finally been displaced from the top spot in Amazon and the choice is surprising.

The Threat: How the FBI Protects America in Age of Terror and Trump by Andrew G. McCabe.

The Threat by Andrew G. McCabe

Maybe surprising is an over statement, the public's growing distrust of President Trump is no secret and any memoir that's going to spill the beans about Trump is always going to be welcomed with open arms. The book is written by former FBI deputy director Andrew G. McCabe. He served the Federal Bureau of Investigation for 22 years with distinction but with just 26 hours left to his retirement he was fired from his position. If you had any doubts why - Trump celebrated on Twitter: "Andrew McCabe FIRED, a great day for the hard working men and women of the FBI - A great day for Democracy."

Leading up to the U.S election, any book which is going to shed light on the President's dealings or professional relationships is going to garner tremendous interest. The Threat is currently bestselling based Amazon's pre-orders, which is impressive to say the least. However, it's official release is dated for the 19th February, so lets see how long it will be able to maintain this coveted spot. I doubt it will stay there for long since the author does pussyfoot around many issues and according to a review by the Washington Post, the author notes that he would like to “say much more” about his firing and questions of his candor toward other bureau officials, but that he is restrained from doing so because he is pursuing a lawsuit. Maybe would have been better that he waited until after the lawsuit and we would have received a proper TELL ALL rather than another tip lipped frustrating memoir by a former government official - too many of these floating around already.
